About Board-certified Family Physician Dr. Dean Adelman
Dr. Dean Adelman is a board-certified Family Physician with over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience, treating patients across all age groups. Dr. Adelman earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in North Miami Beach, Florida, in 1992. Following his graduation, he completed a Family Medicine residency at Palmetto General Hospital through Nova Southeastern University in Hialeah, Florida, in 1995.
Throughout his career, Dr. Adelman has held several notable positions, including serving as a Staff Physician at North Central Family Medicine Center in Rock Hill, SC, and Tenet Health System in Fort Mill, SC. His clinical expertise spans acute and chronic care, with skills in procedures, hospital medicine, and electronic medical records systems. Additionally, Dr. Adelman has shared his medical knowledge as an Associate Clinical Professor and Preceptor in Family Medicine, mentoring the next generation of physicians.
Dr. Adelman’s dedication to patient care is matched by his diverse interests, including music and martial arts. He is an accomplished jazz musician and drum instructor, a Berklee Online student, and a 1st-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is currently licensed to practice in Florida, with a license to reinstate in New York expected soon. Dr. Adelman speaks English fluently and provides compassionate, comprehensive care tailored to his patients’ unique needs.
